CDW Berbee Receives Top Award in IBM’s 100K Challenge

October 25, 2007 –CDW Berbee (NASDAQ: CDWC), today announced it was one of three award recipients in IBM’s 100K Challenge. CDW Berbee’s Server Consolidation Assessment received the second place award from over 100 entries from across the world.

The award recognizes top IBM Business Partners for innovative seller enablement approaches. A panel of IBM selected business leaders and scholars reviewed the nominations and determined the winners.

In order to simplify over complicated data center environments, many clients are developing an infrastructure simplification strategy to combat issues such as server sprawl, power, cooling, and business resiliency. To help client's jumpstart their consolidation effort, CDW Berbee created its fixed-price Server Consolidation Assessment designed to identify ways to better utilize the x86 server resources within an enterprise environment. Using proven techniques and best-practices, CDW Berbee’s Server Consolidation Assessment offers a fast, low cost investment to its clients.

“We have been using the IBM CDAT for the past 4 years,” explained Nathan Coutinho, product manager for CDW Berbee. “Although we use CDAT as the data gathering tool, we’ve developed our own methodology around server consolidation which rivals competitive tools on the market, with a concise set of deliverables that has proven to be highly valued and has demonstrated consistent results for our clients.”
