Microsoft Awards CDW Berbee Two Prestigious Midwest Partner Awards

Madison, Wis. – June 5, 2006 – Microsoft awarded CDW Berbee, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, two U.S. Field Partner Awards for competency excellence in the Midwest Area, consisting of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. This program, held quarterly, recognizes the contributions of partners serving small, mid-market, and enterprise commercial customers.

“Microsoft places a strong emphasis on their relationships with their partners and believes they should be recognized for their efforts over the past quarter,” said Mike Porter, Midwest Area general manager for Microsoft’s Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners (SMS&P) Group. “As a company, establishing long-lasting relationships with our partners is a priority and we think it’s important to recognize those that performed exceptionally.”

The awards were presented at the regional Microsoft partner event held in Chicago for projects completed during the third quarter of Microsoft’s 2006 fiscal year.

“These awards solidify Microsoft’s recognition that CDW Berbee is a go-to partner in all of our geographies,” said Liz Eversoll, vice president of the Microsoft Practice at CDW Berbee.

This is the second quarter in Microsoft’s 2006 fiscal year that CDW Berbee has won multiple regional awards. Winners will also be entered into the annual Regional Awards program, presented this summer at the World-Wide Partner Conference in Boston.

The CDW Berbee office in Milwaukee accepted a “United States Midwest Region Partner Excellence” award in the “Satisfaction and Experience” category. This award recognizes a partner who has provided consistently exceptional customer satisfaction. CDW Berbee was recognized in this category for having installed a full Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution for an organization that needed help improving communication and collaboration on projects. The installation of the EPM solution was extremely successful and changed the way the customer does business. After the implementation, the customer now delivers projects on time, leading to much more frequent improved business opportunities.
The CDW Berbee office in Chicago accepted a “United States Midwest Region Partner Excellence” award in the “Competency” category. This award recognizes exceptional expertise or competency by a partner in a specific industry, vertical, solution, or segment. It also celebrates the partner’s commitment to their specific area of specialization. CDW Berbee was hired to create a portal specific to a client’s needs, including allowing employees to access all applications and files from anywhere in the world using only a Web browser. The client, a non-profit organization, was utilizing a portal that did not have the desired functionality, look, or feel. The innovative SharePoint portal solution CDW Berbee created gave their client all of the functionality, security, and stability they needed to fulfill their business goals.
